VERB TENCES: PRESENT SIMPLE, NEGATIVE, INTERROGATIVE.

Verbal tenses are 3: present simple, positive and negative.


Present Simple:

we speak of simple present, when we make sentences of habitual actions or things that are true all the time that are almost permatentes, example: i work at the hospital.
structure: pronoun- principal verbs
example:
I work
You Work
We work
They work

for sentences inte third person is added to the main verbs "es", as long as it ends in a consonant, if it ends in a vowel, "s" is added and if it ends in "y" it is changed to latin and the "es" is added


She works

He works

example:
-I cook at a restaurant in Barranquilla
- you play basketball

Negative
for negatives sentences, is added  "do not" after the pronoun.
 structure : pronoun-negative-principal verbs

I do not work
you do not work
she does not work
he does not work
it does not work
we do not work
they do not work

Example:
- i do not cook at a restaurant in Barranquilla.
- she does not drive monster truck.

Interrogative

for interrogative sentences the structure changes, the auxiliary is first followed by the pronoun and the main verb

Do I work?

Do you work?
Does she work?
Does he work?
Does it work?
Do we work?
Do they work?

Example:
-does he practice swimming?
+not, he does.
-do you read the jungle book?
+ yes, i do
